HGTV's House Hunters International in Cork

Finally!  I know it's taken a bit of time, but here is the HGTV House Hunters International episode ("Put a Cork In It!") featuring yours truly.

As a double bonus, you now know what I (kinda) look like -- I've gone natural since filming this, so my hair looks quite a bit different now.  More on that in another post, I hope -- AND my true identity has been outed!  No help for the latter, so gotta go with it.  It probably means I'll be a bit less forthcoming with personal info, but then again I haven't been posting that much lately anyway, so six of one...

I recently came across your eppie of IHH it is currently streaming on Netflix. since I am interested in living overseas in the near future, it was so cool to see a woman from US African Diaspora moving and making it work. Intrigued, I googled around till I found your blog. So, not surprised by the revelations related to how "reality" television actually works, but didn't expect the lengths that they go to to make it look like it is all happening in the moment or few days--weeks!

Anyway, I hope that things are still good for you and that you are indeed continuing on your quest to create a more capacious life for yourself. I still am holding the vision out there and working toward making it happen for myself.

Peace!

Hi,
I just watched your episode on one of my favorite shows (HHI) and your episode is instantly my favorite to date. Namely because of the great location (which I'll be visiting soon) but also because of the unexpected twist at the end. I never watched an episode of HHI and had my jaw drop! I know it's been awhile and I don't know your current status, but at the moment, it was fantastic twist! Congrats on your new adventures.

Hi Natacha, aww thanks so much! I love that the "twist" made you happy. It made me happy too :) Still does, actually! We're still together and it's still good. Dear ebonywahine, I always encourage anyone who wants to live abroad to go ahead and do it! I'm not the only one; there are loads of blogs (and websites) by other black women of various backgrounds who've taken that step as well. Do it girl, do it! :)
