People, I've been good. I've muttered under my breath and complained to friends, but held off on any online venting of my extreme displeasure (my only real one so far with Ireland) with the total lack of any bookstores worth the name here! What's up with the lack of selection? Where is the cafe where I can while away a rainy afternoon with a Venti Raspberry Italian soda and a warm chocolate fudge cupcake while leafing through a hoard of books and magazines, all without buying a book?! Why can't I waste away another date-free Saturday night in your cool confines until 11:00 at night? Where, please God, is your designated romance section???
But now, thanks to Liz in Dublin, I have a reason to live! A truly needed American import is here to save the day!

Oh I know! Last October when they opened I got an industry invitation to the grand opening and I took TWO buses (I didn't have a car at the time) to get there while IN HEELS. My friend, that is dedication. I don't think I had ever been so happy.
The is a Starbucks upstairs where I spent last Sunday reading multiple US import magazines while drinking my venti skim latte in peace.

Ok - so I'm so outdated and not savy with the whole blogging thing since my life is pretty tied up with taking care of baby, dog, and husband, but I just had to leave a comment to say that I was so honored to help you use up your phone card the other day! (Imagine! A peaceful Saturday night reading magazines and sipping coffee at a book store! - nope can't even imagine! - I did rush through a Borders recently, making my way to the Nordstrom changing area to clean up the mustard-colored poop on Carter's clothes!) I miss you and loved hearing your voice! And - I want to know the story behind crustybutt, the possibilities are endless (not to mention graphic)! Are UK/Ireland book release dates the same as US release dates? If so, you will have to make a special trip to Dublin around September 4th. That is when the new Nalini Singh book comes out (and I know you are dying to get it!).
It's about time they opened a Borders.. Now I would LOVE a Pottery Barn so I don't have to buy the crappy overpriced furniture they sell here that is ugly!
I'd just settle for a Target ("Tar-jay")!
