I have a travel blog myself which I want to be a top resource for those looking for information and experiences on popular vacation destinations.

I would like us to do a link exchange to help spread some traffic around between our sites. Please let me know if this is possible.

Jason
ThatVACATIONfeeling.comJasonhttp://www.thatvacationfeeling.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6698400921868577046.post-4722288238899201332009-11-23T17:20:25.438+00:002009-11-23T17:20:25.438+00:00Glad to hear you're ok. The thing which depresses me slightly, though, is the thought of the clean-up operation.

Unless you've been flooded yourself, I think it's maybe hard for people to understand the sheer misery involved in such a thing. All soggy (and thoroughly ruined) belongings need to be itemised for insurance purposes, the smell is disgusting and the sense of disquiet - the nagging fear that it could all happen again - doesn't leave the shores of your soul for many, many months. Years, even.

Crikey, that was a bit depressing, wasn't it? Sorry about that, but I do feel very sorry for the people (ordinary residents, primarily, less so for the shopkeepers) who will have to endure a long spell of readjustment and misery in the coming months.

Blame my grim outlook on Glasgow. I shudder at the memory, shudder.

(Oh, and Skibbereen was flooded, too, so I'm allowing myself to feel part of this tragedy, part of The News. Six miles away, granted, but that won't stop me seeking sympathy (and quite possibly cash) from my mum.)

Stay afloat, gentle comrade, more rain is on the way.

Kind regards etc...

TPEtpehttp://cricketpage.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6698400921868577046.post-34111358074156200002009-11-20T14:26:58.967+00:002009-11-20T14:26:58.967+00:00Oh, there were boats!
